Instructors: Reginald Long REGINALD A. LONG is an attorney with the law firm of Love and Long, L.L.P. He practices in the areas of commercial real estate, commercial real estate development, estate planning, land use, real estate foreclosure, and commercial landlord and tenant law. Mr. Long is an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Business of Rutgers University teaching Real Estate Transactions Curriculum. Mr. Long received his B.A. degree from the University of California State College and his J.D. degree from New York Law School. He is a member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York (member, Real Estate Committee, and past member of the Housing and Urban Development Committee), the New Jersey State Bar Association (member, Real Property Committee) and the American Bar Association (member, Real Property, Estate and Trust Law sections). Andy Norin ANDY S. NORIN is a partner in the Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP’s Real Estate and Land Use Practice groups. Mr. Norin concentrates his practice on complex commercial real estate transactions and land development and redevelopment projects. He counsels developers and other clients through the land development approvals process on a diverse array of projects including office, residential, retail, industrial and warehouse facilities and planned developments. Mr. Norin routinely appears before municipal governing bodies, zoning and planning boards and other municipal boards and commissions throughout New Jersey in connection with land development applications and rezonings. In addition, he advises clients on compliance with state land development related statutes and regulations (including wetlands, flood hazard area control, storm water management, waterfront development, threatened and endangered species, and affordable housing); and guides clients through the maze of permits and approvals required from counties, regional authorities, and the state of New Jersey, including the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Community Affairs. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey. Ms. Norin is a LEED® Accredited Professional, a credential awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to those professionals who have demonstrated an advanced depth of knowledge in green building practices and in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating Systemâ„¢. He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. He is a member of the Land Use Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. Mr. Norin has been named to Super Lawyers list of "Rising Stars" for the past two years (2010 and 2011). He received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from The George Washington University and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Susan Rubright SUSAN R. RUBRIGHT is an attorney with Brach Eichler LLC, where her practice areas include environmental and land use. She represents private applicants before planning and zoning boards throughout New Jersey and advises public entities in general land use, real estate and municipal matters. Ms. Rubright also litigates land use and zoning matters on behalf of private and public clients. In addition to representing private clients on site plan, subdivision and variance applications, Ms. Rubright provides legal advice to private clients on complex matters such as affordable housing and COAH, master plan revisions, rezonings, redevelopment, storm water management, Highlands Act exemptions, code enforcement, Highlands Act storm water regulations, farmland preservation, open space acquisition, Open Public Records Act (OPRA) and Right to Farm issues. Currently she serves as planning board attorney for Raritan Borough in Somerset County. She is a member of the New Jersey Planning Officials (2003-present) and Associate Counsel (2009-present), the New Jersey Builders Association, Legislative Affairs Committee (2010 - present) and the Community Builders & Remodelers Association (2008 - present), Board of Directors (2011 - present). She is also a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, Land Use Law Section (1995-present); Municipal Law Section (2000-present); and Section Board of Directors (2011). Ms. Rubright has been selected by the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women as its "Outstanding Lawyer for 2012." Todd Terhune TODD W. TERHUNE is of counsel with Wolff & Samson. His practice is focused on advising clients on environmental due diligence, ISRA compliance and other environmental regulatory compliance issues that arise in connection with real estate and business transactions, or as a result of regulatory action. Mr. Terhune also represents clients in commercial real estate transactions, including Brownfield redevelopment projects, and in remediation and permitting matters before the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. He is a member of the Justice Stewart G. Pollock Environmental American Inn of Court, the Morris County Bar Association, the Mountain Lakes Environmental Commission, the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties and Education Committee, the National Brownfields Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and for the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.
