More Instructors: Brian Ohm BRIAN W. OHM is a professor with the department of urban and regional planning at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Extension, where his responsibilities emphasize land use law, growth management and environmental regulation. Mr. Ohm lectures nationally and throughout Wisconsin on land use planning issues. He wrote Guide to Community Planning in Wisconsin , published by the University of Wisconsin Extension, and has written several articles on Wisconsin land use law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin (member, Administrative and Local Government Law Section), and American Planning Association. Mr. Ohm earned his B.A. degree from St. Olaf College, his M.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Law. Mitchell Olson MITCHELL R. OLSON is a partner with the Madison law firm of Axley Brynelson, LLP. He is a member of the firm's litigation practice group. Mr. Olson concentrates his practice in civil litigation, real estate, land use and zoning, municipal, insurance, and appellate law. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts of Wisconsin. Mr. Olson earned his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon and his master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Carl Sinderbrand RL A. SINDERBRAND is a partner in the law firm of Axley Brynelson, LLP. His practice focuses on environmental, construction and government regulatory matters. Mr. Sinderbrand regularly assists clients in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, representation before administrative agencies, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation. He has lectured on numerous occasions on a variety of environmental and construction matters, such as water law, construction contracting practices and claims, administrative procedures, and alternative dispute resolution. Additionally, Mr. Sinderbrand has written articles relating to environmental dispute resolution, radioactive waste transportation, and various environmental and construction issues. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and currently chairs its Environmental Law Section Board of Directors. Mr. Sinderbrand is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. He also serves on the board of environmental and other public interest organizations. Mr. Sinderbrand has been repeatedly named to Wisconsin Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America and, in 2010, he was named one of Wisconsin's Top Fifty Lawyers. He earned his B.A. degree from Oberlin College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mark Steichen MARK J. STEICHEN is a partner in the firm of Boardman & Clark LLP, in Madison, Wisconsin, where he practices in the area of civil litigation with emphasis on condemnation, land use and municipal law. He has been named as a Bar Lawyer in Eminent Domain since 2007. Mr. Steichen is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation and State and Local Government sections), the State Bar of Wisconsin (Appellate Section) and the Dane County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, the Federal District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Wisconsin, and the 7th Circuit Court.
