More Instructors: David Brennan DAVID C. BRENNAN is a partner with Young Sommer, LLC, where his legal practice includes, environmental law and compliance, real estate matters, representation of clients seeking governmental approvals and litigation of land use issues. Mr. Brennan's representation of private and municipal clients includes significant experience with counseling and conducting environmental reviews (SEQRA), and litigation before a variety of courts to defend such approvals. He has extensive experience with issues related to telecommunications sitting and permitting; and has served as special counsel or town attorney for a variety of municipalities on issues related to land development, permitting, zoning, mining and telecommunications. Additionally, Mr. Brennan served as a town justice for seven years. He previously worked as an engineer, where he concentrated on project design, providing engineering services to municipalities and private developers. Mr. Brennan graduated, cum laude, from Albany Law School with a concentration in environmental law and holds a bachelor of science in environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Joanne Crum JOANNE (JO) D. CRUM is a sole proprietor and has been offering surveying services since 1987, where the primary goal is to produce high quality, professional surveys. Her firm provides services to home-owners, the commercial sector, industrial sector, land developers and the public sector. Ms. Crum's firm has performed surveys in Long Island, New York City, the Great Lakes region and many points in between. Her firm has regularly been subcontractors to most major engineering firms, some of which are Clough, Harbour Associates, Ewell Finley and Partners, The Sear-Brown Group, Law Environmental, Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., and several municipal and governmental offices. Since 1990, the company has been involved in several bridge and highway surveys for the New York State Department of Transportation, including extensive surveys at Stewart International Airport, in Newburgh, New York. Ms. Crum's professional licenses and certifications include, New York Surveying License, New Jersey Surveying License, Florida State Surveying License, U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Firm, New York State Certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE), New York State Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), New Jersey State Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), City of Albany Minority Business Enterprise, Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR); Dormitory Authority, State of NY (DASNY) Opportunities Program; and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Certified for Hazardous Waster Operations. Ms. Crum earned her B.A. degree from SUNY Albany, her M.B.A. from the University at Albany and her J.D. degree from Albany Law School of Union University. Michael Moore MICHAEL J. MOORE is a partner in the law firm of Young Sommer, LLC, where he represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex federal and state court environmental disputes. He also specializes in state and local administrative proceedings, resolving zoning and real property matters for individuals, municipalities, and developers. Mr. Moore has appeared before the New York State Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals (2nd Circuit). He has been the lead attorney in several cases under CERCLA, the federal Clean Air Act, SEQRA, and New York Public Service Law Article X (power plant siting). Mr. Moore was listed in the Capital District Business Review's "Who's Who" in the Legal Profession in fall of 1997. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Albany Law School. (0 Ratings)
