Forecasting can be a useful tool for evaluating the impacts of policy, visualizing scenarios, and considering future priorities. This session will discuss the challenges and uses of growth forecasts, with a focus on the Metropolitan Council’s recent experience employing new technologies and data to provide scenario-based forecasts for regional planning.
