Heart of Ohio RC&DPowell, OH

Free event

This session, made possible through funding from an Ohio EPA OEEF Grant, is designed to engage decision-makers (zoning and planning officials, engineers, elected officials, developers and builders) and focuses on the unique requirements of the Olentangy General Construction Permit, covering 17 jursidictions. The topics covered will be of benefit to anyone in the development field -- inside as well as outside of the permit area.

Topics will include: stream protection, standard development vs. conservation development, runoff reduction, erosion control, bioretention and infiltration, pervious pavement, mitigation and conservation easements. All are designed to address site development with a water quality point-of-view.

Attendees will be able to view best practices and practices needing improvement. They will have the opportunity to interface with experts and to discuss the economic, ecological and community benefits that may be gained from implementing a variety of these practices -- including obstacles, keys to success and available resources.
