Through the Windshield: A Planner's View of Transit Operations

Transit service planning is inextricably linked with the everyday realities of transit operations. This presentation will discuss the basics of how transit service is planned, with a focus on practical applications at the street level. Topics covered will include network design, route planning considerations, and placement of transit stops. The presentation will also cover methods used to speed up transit services, and the trade-offs involved in decision-making related to transit service planning.
