Rodney Hendrick, an LSU Professor and Specialist on Water Quality and Solid Waste with the LSU AgCenter, developed education programs and held workshops on Urban Stormwater to help parishes and municipalities comply with the Phase I and II Urban Stormwater and Construction Stormwater Management regulations. Through the Louisiana Urban Stormwater Coalition, which he co-founded, Rod helps provide educational programs to Stormwater Program Managers, elected officials, and engineers and consultants, with direct interfacing with EPA and the LA DEQ. He also provides technical assistance to cities, businesses, and others in developing land application and composting projects using BioSolids, industrial, agricultural and forest processing residues. Rod has conducted numerous workshops on construction stormwater rules, reviewed draft TMDLs from EPA and LDEQ on Louisiana water bodies, and participated in the deliberations on the revision of the East Baton Rouge Parish UDC to comply with the requirements of the Construction Stormwater Programs and the other requirements of the Large MS4 program.
