CLimate Change and Flooding: What to Expect and How to PrepareAPA New Jersey ChapterNew Brunswick, NJ Free event The presentations and facilitated discussion will provide background information on NJ’s changing climate and will provide attendees with information about what municipalities are currently doing to prepare for more extreme weather events/flooding. It will also provide attendees with opportunities to learn about new Sustainable Jersey mapping and planning tools to help communities become more resilient. A facilitated discussion will provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss: Where do we go from here? What are local needs? What are the challenges to adaptation in a home rule state? How can municipalities work together? How can we identify opportunities where Sustainable Jersey or others could make a difference? A review of Sustainable Jersey priorities will conclude the workshop.
