Downtown Development Plan and Revision of the Zoning Code and Subdivision Code

The City of Williston, North Dakota is accepting proposals from qualified planning consultants interested in providing professional services in preparation of:

1) The City Downtown Development plan; and
2) Revision of the zoning code and subdivision code, as well as consideration for a formal site plan review process, in order to produce a Unified Development Code.

The City’s interest is to combine the two projects to be overseen by one consulting firm. The primary consultant or sub-consultant will begin work on the Downtown Plan while preliminary work is done on the development of the Unified Development Code. Results and recommendations of regulatory items from the Downtown Plan are to be incorporated with the development of the UDC.

Teams of consultants are welcome to submit joint proposals, with the designation of a lead firm with subcontractors that will report to the lead firm. Selection of a consultant or consultant team will be based on qualifications and criteria as described in the RFP.

Consulting firms interested in performing the work shall submit copies of their proposal as outlined in the RFP to the City of Williston, Planning Department, Kent Jarcik, Planning Director, City of Williston, 22 East Broadway, PO Box 1306, Williston, North Dakota 58802-1306, no later than 5 p.m. Friday, February 15th, 2013.
