Housing and Community Development
A Resource and Talent Pool for Bridging the Human and Built Environments
Together
The Housing and Community Development Division represents members
who work in many different areas of housing and community development, including
local governments, nonprofit and for-profit housing development entities,
foundations, private consulting, and academia. The overriding goal of the Division
is to advocate for more accessible and equitable communities in our urban and
rural areas.
The Division works to increase awareness of housing and community development
issues among the APA membership through its quarterly newsletter, annual Conference
sessions, and listserv. In addition, the Division has provided significant
support over the past few years regarding the development of two APA
Policy Guides on Housing and Homelessness. If you have any suggestions regarding articles
for the quarterly newsletter, conference sessions, or other matters, please
contact any of the officers listed in the Leadership section of this website.
