Online Broadcast Series Offers
Certification Maintenance (CM) Credits
In partnership with APA, the Economic Development Administration is producing a series of broadcasts called Economic Development Today.
AICP members of APA can earn Certification Maintenance (CM) credits by viewing the broadcasts and reading supplemental materials. Details on the requirements and credits are listed below.
AICP members may view all three parts of the broadcast series to claim a total of CM | 2.0 credits.
Part One and Part Two
Part One: On Connecting Regional Economies with the Worldwide Marketplace.
Part Two: Seeing the Green: Bolstering Economic Development Strategies with Environmental Responsibility.

AICP members of APA can earn Certification Maintenance (CM) credits by:
- Viewing view parts one and two of the series
- Reading the Economic Development Tools of the Trade supplemental materials by accessing the PowerPoint or PDF and attachment and claim a total of CM | 1.0
Please note: AICP members must view both (parts I and II) 30-minute broadcasts to receive CM | 1.0 credit.

Regional industry clusters, an innovative economic development strategy, are designed to stimulate job growth and ensure future economic prosperity.

How to Claim and Record the CM Credits
- Complete an evaluation of the broadcast at http://survey.planning.org/cdeval.htm.
- Log in to the APA website using your APA ID# and password.
- Select My CM log
- Select Add Credits
- Under Browse, click on the option Distance Education and use the search box to type "EDA"
- To select, click on the name of the activity and a pop up box will appear.
- Please rate, add comment (optional), click on the Ethics question and answer, then click "submit"
- Go to CM log to verify the credits have been properly added
