This Is Smart Growth coverAs one of the founding members of the Smart Growth Network, the American Planning Association is pleased to announce the release of this new publication. Along with EPA and NOAA, more than 30 national organizations representing planning, business, housing, environmental, and local government interests teamed up to produce this report. It illustrates how communities can turn their visions, values, and aspirations for building better communities into reality. This Is Smart Growth describes how development can be done both well and wisely to help create more economic opportunities for residents, build great places where people want to live and visit, preserve the qualities people love about their communities, and protect vital environmental resources.
