The NH LRPC (located in Meredith, NH), is seeking an experienced, professional, manager/administrator to serve as its next Executive Director. The 30 communities served by the Commission comprise one of the most beautiful, highly desirable and historic natural environments in all of New England. The area attracts visitors from all over the world who wish to enjoy the natural beauty and the multitude of cultural, recreational, and entertainment activities available throughout the region. Living, working, and playing in this pristine environment with easy access to world-class medical, educational, and cultural assets affords an unparalleled quality of life. The Executive Director is appointed by and reports to a 12-member Executive Board, elected annually by representatives appointed by the Commission’s member municipalities. The Executive Director oversees 8 employees and an operating budget of $815,000.
The successful candidate will have experience in organizational management, planning & land use regulation, grant writing, and community based problem solving. Strong entrepreneurial, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills are essential. BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred, with a minimum of 7 years of progressive management and leadership experience.
