The City of Rawlins, Wyoming is accepting applications for a Planner I, II or III to work under the direction of the Administrative Services Director. The position is classified as FLSA EXEMPT at Grades 24, 26 or 27 with the salary range usually beginning $3,530.00, $3,819.00 or $3,972.00 per month but experience and education will be considered, plus excellent benefits.
Responsibilities and duties include to perform planning duties under general supervision by coordinating the preparation and maintenance of a comprehensive plan or coordinating the current planning development review process; make recommendations on development proposals; data collection and statistical analysis; update and maintenance of computerized land use inventory; and preparation of reports on land use and growth development.
The Ideal Candidate:
Planner I requires a Bachelor Degree in city or regional planning, architecture, or closely related field
Planner II requires a Bachelor Degree and five years experience as of community planning work or a Master’s degree in city or regional planning, architecture, or closely related field.
Planner III requires a Master Degree in city or regional planning, architecture, or closely related field with at least five years of community planning work experience.
