Essential Job Functions: Serves as a team leader in preparing comprehensive plan elements, action strategies, ordinance revisions, grant applications, staff reports and special projects; works with citizens, developers, elected officials, staff and advisory commissions to develop plans and public policies; performs research and prepares special reports; assists in planning, organizing and directing work program of the physical planning section; prepares land use surveys, population estimates and economic based studies; composes staff reports for the Planning Commission and City Council; conducts audio/visual presentations for the Planning Commission and other advisory boards.
Education/Experience: Masters Degree in urban planning and three (3) years professional urban planning experience; five (5) years of professional city planning experience may substitute for Masters Degree.
