The City of Lacey is accepting applications for an intern position in the Water Resources Division of our Public Works Department. This recruitment is open until filled, with the first review on Monday, October 7, 2013.
The Water Resources Division plans and implements programs relating to drinking water, wastewater, and storm water in Lacey. The work involves system mapping, electronic operation and maintenance manual updating, completing individual projects, reviewing technical material, compiling and analyzing data, assisting with engineering related tasks and administrative support tasks as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about water/wastewater/stormwater systems and the elements involved in operating and designing these systems. As an intern, you will:

Working hours are generally between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., up to a maximum of 16 hours per week. Chosen work hours are flexible based on student's class schedule.
