UNLV's Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies Director Elected to National Planning Board

WASHINGTON, DC — The Executive Director of the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Debra A. March, was elected to serve as Director-at-Large on the American Planning Association's (APA) Board of Directors.

As Director-at-Large, March will serve as one of 13-members on the APA Board of Directors, setting the association's policy direction and strategic goals. March will serve for four years in this volunteer position.

March has worked in her current position for more than 10 years. She has held positions in both the public and private sector, including Economic Development Marketing Director for the City of Las Vegas Economic Development Department and the Deputy Administrator for the Nevada Real Estate Division.

A dedicated member, March is a member of the APA National Planning Conference host committee for the 2008 National Planning Conference and a member of the Planning Accreditation Board. She is chair-elect for the Site Visitor Committee that evaluates institutions and professional programs seeking accredited status.

March received her graduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a planning commissioner for the City of Henderson, and is an executive committee member for the Las Vegas Chapter of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties for the Southern Nevada Chapter.
