Call for Manuscripts Terrain.org: A Journal of the Built & Natural Environments Terrain.org is a quarterly online journal. It is not definitely about urban form, nor solely about natural landscapes. It is not precisely about human culture, nor necessarily about ecology. It is, rather, a celebration of the symbiosis between the built and natural environments where it exists, and an examination and discourse where it does not. The literary, journalistic, and artistic works in Terrain.org are of the highest quality, submitted by a variety of contributors for a diverse audience, including some of the finest material previously appearing in Terra Nova: Nature & Culture. Terrain.org welcomes quality submissions from new and experienced authors and
artists alike. The online journal accepts only the finest poetry, essays, fiction,
articles, artwork, and other contributions material that reaches deep
into the earth's fiery core, or humanity's incalculable core, and brings forth
new insights and wisdom. Our audience is wide, from technical and professional to generalist, and each issue averages more than 400,000 hits over its three-month run. Except in specific situations, written work should be non-academic in nature; i.e., in general magazine form, such as Outside, Audubon, Amicus Journal, Planning, or similar. Submissions must represent or otherwise have a clear relationship to the built and natural environments, either as they are interrelated or as separate subjects. All contributions are fully archived.
