Bio: Jeff joined the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) in November 2007 as a Project Manager and Research Associate. Jeff has over 20 years of experience researching, developing applying GIS and geospatial web technologies to a variety of public and private sector projects. As part of the Science Services Program at ASFPM he manages research and outreach projects that take a science-based approach towards investigating flood risk and hazard related data, analyses and software solutions and their possible implications on policy and regulations at the local, state and national level.

Bio: Liz is 2011-2013 NOAA Coastal Management Fellow with the Michigan Coastal Zone Management Program and Michigan Sea Grant. As a fellow she am conducting case studies on working waterfronts, coastal land use, and planning for water dependent uses, identifying tools and strategies to protect working waterfronts in Michigan, and implementing Waterfront Smart Growth Readiness Assessment Tool workshops.

Bio: Susan Fox, of The Baldwin Group, joined the NOAA Coastal Services Center in January 2005. Her current role as a coastal management specialist includes leading the Coastal Community Planning and Development (CCPD) training, coordinating smart growth and sustainability projects with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and serving as the liaison to the National States Geographic Information Council. Before coming to NOAA, Susan worked on planning and development reviews, as well as the design and creation of a public access website for the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection.
Education: Susan obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina.
