Losing Cape Cod/Saving Cape Cod: Land Use and Climate Change Over Time

Date: Monday, April 15

Time: 12:00PM - 2:00PM

Infrastructure planning must address both natural-resources loss and potential sea-level-rise impacts, particularly in coastal communities. This poster—a partnership of the Cape Cod Commission and Woods Hole Research Center—depicts the historic impacts of human infrastructure (as well as the potential environmental threats of such infrastructure) on the fragile coastal peninsula of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Using GIS mapping and data visualization, it examines the connection between land use and climate change over time.
