Bio: Gary Young currently serves as ‘Director of Airport Affairs’ (August 2011 – Present) and ‘Economic Development Project Manager’ (May 2008 – Present) for the City of College Park, Georgia. Approximately one fourth of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJIA – ATL)is in the city limits of the City of College Park. HJIA is controlled by the City of Atlanta’s Department of Aviation. The portion of HJIA in College Park includes HJIA’s North and South Terminals, Concourse T, Concourse A, the southern half of Concourse B, and the Rental Car Facility. HJIA’s western approaches and departure routes track across College Park. As College Park’s ‘Director of Airport Affairs’, Mr. Young is the liaison between the City Council of College Park, the staff of HJIA, and the City of Atlanta Department of Aviation. He works to move forward discussions on contracts for land transactions, Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) for HJIA activities that impact College Park facilities, noise mitigation progress concerns, contracts for financial agreements, and maintaining dialogue between airport related governments and agencies. Mr. Young is also responsible for monitoring local/Federal airports/aviation legislation and changes in aviation technology. As ‘Economic Development Project Manager’, Mr. Young is responsible for business recruitment, retention and expansion in commercial and retail zoned areas west and south of HJIA. This area of College Park is home to retail, hotel/hospitality, commercial, warehousing, and logistics companies. Mr. Young is also responsible for transportation enhancement projects, and encouragement of entrepreneurship and redevelopment in College Park’s ‘Old National Highway Corridor’ area. Prior to joining the City of College Park, Mr. Young worked for the architecture and neighborhood development staff of one of the Southeast’s leading housing and mixed-use neighborhood development companies, John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods.

Bio: Jon Tuley has been with the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) full-time since 2007. As a Principal Planner in the Comprehensive Planning Department Mr. Tuley has two primary responsibilities. He is the review coordinator for the Developments of Regional Impact (DRI) program and he is the lead staff person for ARC’s airport area planning initiative. As the DRI review coordinator, his responsibilities include reviewing large scale developments for consistency with regional plans and policies and coordinating communication between affected organizations. Since 2011, Mr. Tuley has led ARC’s airport area planning efforts which involve research, organizing and managing the Airport Area Working Group and the Airport Area Task Force, and providing key support in the effort to better organize the various jurisdictions and organizations around Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Prior to working full-time at ARC, Mr. Tuley interned in the Transportation Planning Division at ARC and interned in the Planning Department of the City of Franklin, Tennessee.

Bio: Bryce Kelley is a Development Officer for Wayne County’s Economic Development Growth Engine (EDGE), http://www.waynecounty.com/mygovt/edge/. Mr. Kelley has been a part of the EDGE team since July of 2009. His primary duty is as the Interim Administrator fo the Detroit Region Aerotropolis Development Corporation. Additional responsibilties include:Local community contact, and facilitator, Department process and policy development & marketing, From February 1996 through November 2008 he held a series of senior management positions for Van Buren Township in western Wayne County; his last position was as the Township’s Director of Planning & Economic Development. Mr. Kelley served as the administrator of the Planning, Building and Ordinance Departments, Executive Director of Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Executive Director of Township Local Development Finance Authority, Executive member of the Capital Improvement Project team, Executive management team member, IT development team member, Chair of the Detroit Region Aerotropolis Governance Committee, Community Development Block Grant Administrator. During his tenure in Van Buren Township Mr. Kelley was fortunate to be a part of and in some cases the lead administrator for the: • Visteon Village; 865,000 square feet of executive office, executive support, engineering and R&D labs on 250 acres. • Creation and development of the Township’s Local Development Finance Authority. • Growth of the annual revenues of the Township’s DDA from less than $300,000 to over $1,200,000. • Development of over 3 million square feet of new industrial/warehouse space. • Development of over 300,000 square feet of new retail space. • Development of 18 new residential subdivisions of approximately 3000 dwelling units. • Planning and negotiations of over $10,000,000 in funding for reconstruction of public roads through Federal, State, County and local programs. • Township’s purchase of over 80 acres of vacant land. • $500,000 in CDBG programming and projects.
