Bio: Sean Flaherty has served as senior planner at Centralina Council of Governments in Charlotte, North Carolina since January 2012. In this role, he serves as the lead administrator of North Carolina’s Plug-In Electric Vehicle Planning Grant as awarded by the US Department of Energy. He also manages the region's HUD Sustainable Communities Air Quality / Climate Change program. Before joining the staff at Centralina Council of Governments, Flaherty worked for Triangle J Council of Governments in the Research Triangle Park where he served as energy & environment planner for four years. In this role, he provided leadership and support for initiatives such as the Triangle TDM Program and Triangle Clean Cities Coalition, while also founding the Council for a Sustainable Triangle and Triangle Green Business Challenge. Specializing in clean transportation, Flaherty has managed over $20 million in grant funding since 2007.

Bio: Brennan Bouma is a Planner II in the Energy and Environment program of the Triangle J Council of Governments working to reduce petroleum useage in North Carolina through direct fleet consultation and regional planning. He has helped to create Plug-in Electric Vehicle Readiness Plans for the City of Raleigh, the Greater Triangle Region, and the State of North Carolina.

Bio: As a Transportation Project Manager with Advanced Energy, Drye works with communities to plan for and implement electrified transportation. She is project manager of several transportation initiative projects including the North Carolina Plug-In Electric Taskforce (PEV) and the NC PEV Planning Assistance Program. Her role with the NC PEV Taskforce includes coordinating and facilitating regular stakeholder meetings and working groups and managing the development a state-wide readiness plan for PEVs. In addition to working on community planning efforts, Drye is involved in researching and writing ordinances and codes to better prepare communities for electric transportation. Before joining Advanced Energy in 2011, Drye worked for the North Carolina Department of Commerce as a Community Development Planner. In this role, she assisted N.C. communities with the development of growth management plans, ordinances, annexation studies, GIS analysis, and other planning documents. She also worked with the NC Joint Legislative Commission on Municipal Incorporations to analyze and present reports on petitions for municipal incorporation. While with the Town of Indian Trail, N.C., Drye worked as a city planner where her responsibilities included development of town planning documents, serving as project manager of commercial site plan review, and serving as staff liaison to several citizen committees. Drye also worked on several regional planning efforts including a regional storm water partnership and serving as the staff chair of a committee to develop a county-wide greenway plan.

Bio: Hanna Cockburn has been practicing land use, recreation, transportation and sustainability planning in North Carolina since 1998. Following a decade of work at the regional level, Ms. Cockburn joined the City of Greensboro's Planning and Community Development Department.
Education: Ms. Cockburn received a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell College in 1993, and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from the Urban and Regional Studies Institute at Minnesota State University in 1998.
Key Publications: Ms. Cockburn served as a principal investigator for Triad Plugging In, the Plug-in Electric Vehicle Readiness Plan for the 12-county Piedmont Triad region.
