Date: Monday, April 15

Time: 4:00PM - 5:15PM

CM | 1.25

This session, sponsored by the APA Kids' Planning Toolbox blog, provides an overview of three unique programs in the Chicago area that engage youth in community initiatives. CMAP trains future planners and engages them on the GOTO 2040 Plan with FLIP (Future Leaders in Planning). Journey World (powered by the Girl Scouts) is an immersive, experiential learning center that provides the platform for youth to enact and live the GOTO2040 Plan. And Waters Elementary School—a U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School—teaches sustainability through an urban garden/ecology program.
