What Makes a Sustainability Program Successful?
CM | 1.25
Date: Tuesday, April 16
Activity Code: S657
Room: Columbus Hall E/F
Sustainability planning is a concern for all local governments, as shrinking financial and human resources limit their capacity to tackle environmental, social, and financial challenges. This session will explore survey data on community sustainability programs and showcase sustainability planning efforts in Joliet, Illinois; Denton, Texas; and Buncombe County, North Carolina. Discuss best practices and learn how three different localities track and evaluate the success of their sustainability policies and programs throughout the implementation process.
