Cycling Chicago’s Streets

Chicago is rapidly remaking itself into one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the nation. How have planning, design, and community outreach converged to make this possible? Starting in Millennium Park, participants will take an 8.5-mile bike tour of Chicago’s Near North Side using protected, buffered, and standard bike lanes. Learn how to employ bike boxes, colored pavement markings, intersection markings, and other techniques to increase cyclist safety. Transportation: Bicycle, walking.
