Bio: Currently, I am Dir. of Community Engagement for POAH. I am responsible for all external connections related to elected officials, community/neighborhood leaders and residents, all community programming for all projects in the Chicagoland area. My past work includes working as the liaison between community, development, property management and residents for a major public housing transformation project here in Chicago. Prior to that I ran the Neighborhood office for a local foundation where I was responsible for the day to day operations of the satellite, providing grant support to the Family strengthening and asset-based development focus area, managing a neighborhood grant initiative and a 1000 account IDA (Individual development Account) program. Finally, prior to that I managed housing development for Bethel New Life, Inc. including their first single-family development project totally $2.5million; additionally I managed their Housing resource center that provided training to residents in the pursuit of homeownership.
Education: I have a Bachelors of Arts in Urban Planning/Affairs from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and I have a Masters In Public Administration - with a special emphasis on Urban Administration
Past Assignments: I have presented at various conferences in Washington, D.C. at HUD related to resident/community engagement; I have presented at various Chicago Housing Authority seminars regarding commnity development and Resident Engagement. I have presented at the Black Management Assocation along with the Real Estate Club of the kellogg School of Management, Urban Revitalization workshop.
