October is drawing to a close, and with it, National Community Planning Month. APA’s online and media platforms have been bustling with activity over the course of the past month. News of our annual Great Places in America announcement has even found its way onto social platform Reddit.
APA component groups — chapters, divisions, and Young Planners Groups — were key players in educating the public about the value of planning. Elected officials and allied professionals attested our message that planning helps to create communities of lasting value.
