APA Member News: Appointments, Recognitions, Retirement

  • Tyler Bonstead, AICP

    Tyler Bonstead has been named vice president with STV, where he currently serves as the West Coast deputy regional manager in the firm’s Transportation and Infrastructure division in Los Angeles. He is responsible for transit, planning, operations, and business development for all of STV’s transportation groups in California. Bonstead earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Columbia University in New York and a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of California-Irvine.
  • Dylan Mullenix, AICP

    Dylan Mullenix was named to the Forty Under 40 list by the Business Record, a Des Moines, Iowa newspaper. Mullenix was one of 40 local business leaders under the age of 40 who were chosen for demonstrating career achievements and community involvement. Mullenix is assistant director of the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization where he has developed regional planning initiatives such as the Tomorrow Plan and the Greater Des Moines Water Trails and Greenways Plan. He also serves as the legislative chair on the board of APA’s Iowa Chapter.
  • Michelle Nance, AICP

    Michelle Nance was named among the 50 Most Influential Women by the Mecklenburg Times. She was selected for her leadership and influence in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community. Nance is planning director with Centralina Council of Governments in Charlotte, North Carolina.
  • Jessica Rossi, AICP

    Jessica Rossi was named among the 50 Most Influential Women by the Mecklenburg Times in North Carolina. She was selected because of her leadership and influence in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community. Rossi is a planner with Kimley Horne.
  • Scott Shuford, AICP

    Scott Shuford has announced his retirement after 36 years of service to the planning profession. Shuford is director of the Fayetteville Planning and Code Enforcement and served in senior planning positions in several cities and counties in North Carolina and Florida. He also served two years as a planning consultant. Shuford is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Regional Planning degrees.
  • Jonathan Williamson, AICP

    Williamson has been hired as a senior planner for the transportation division of Dewberry, a professional services firm in Orlando, Florida. Williamson will serve on the engineering consultant team for the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX), where he will manage CFX studies and perform project development and environmental studies for the Florida Department of Transportation. He is a graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in applied geography.
