APA New York Metro Chapter
New York, NY, United States
APA Chapter: Our Chapter has over 1,400 members involved in planning, design and development policy of the region’s communities located throughout New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley. We are the local chapter of the 41,000-member APA, a national organization dedicated to creating livable communities of lasting value. We advance the planning arts and sciences by serving as a national model for continuing education, youth outreach, community collaboration and bold leadership. We are advocates for the responsible, sustainable growth of our region, while preserving its rich culture and history. The Chapter offers a range of committees for our members and citizenry to participate. Our membership is composed of APA members, students, young planners, retired planners, community advocates and American Institute of Certified Planners professionals. We are proudly home to some of the most recognized planners in the world.
