The 2015 Transaction Conference in Atlantic City at the Tropicana Conference Center, Hotel, Resort, Casino will feature over 70 sessions focused on a wide range of transportation topics including local, county, state, federal and international transportation planning, engineering and funding opportunities. Conference sessions will address such topics as transportation system disaster, recovery and sustainability planning, passenger bus, BRT, paratransit, ferry, marine planning, heavy passenger rail, light rail, subway, rail, air and port freight operations and planning, truck freight, aviation transportation, automobile travel, climate change, green house gas emissions, global warming,traffic modelling, accident analysis/prevention, public involvement techniques, project management, paratransit for senior citizen and disabled persons, social and human services transportation planning and operations; bridge,road,tunnel project planning and design, bicycle and pedestrian safety, greenway and trails planning,complete streets, recreational planning and implementation, transportation system security, evacuation planning, smart growth land use and transportation connection, transit oriented development and the coordination of economic development plans and transportation investments. The objective of the over 70+ sessions is to present the latest cutting edge thinking and techniques to aid planners, engineers and key policy and decision makers by providing a toolbox of techniques to improve transportation planning and engineering decisionmaking. This is achieved by providing the skills and knowledge necessary to maintain, operate, design, build and improve our vast multimodal transportation network. The level of expertise and content at each session is high with many of the nations leading experts from the non-profit, public, private, and educational sectors speaking in their areas of expertise. This wide array of experts are able to communicate a vast amount of information regarding the state of the art and best practices and lessons learned within their areas of expertise. The sessions run from 60 to 90 minutes over 3 days and offer a vast amount of knowledge within a compact time period. The 2015 Transaction Conference features a unique combination of real world experience, educational, non-profit, public and private sector perspectives that offer valuable lessons learned and best practices that can be applied to maintaining and improving the vast transportation infrastructure during these tough fiscal times given decreasing governmental funding levels and increasing maintenance and project costs.
