The Water Campus in Baton Rouge is being developed for research, academic functions, education, and offices. Staff will carry out their work in a collaborative environment, studying coastal threats, formulating theories, and working collaboratively to arrive at solutions that might not be found working alone. The campus includes a 10,000-square- foot physical model of the Lower Mississippi River Basin. Join representatives of the LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio to learn about this project, which seeks to improve understanding of inland-coastal environmental conditions and help planners develop best practices for reducing risk and increasing adaptive capacity.
