MORE SESSION DETAILS
In August 2016, areas in South Louisiana experienced over two feet of rainfall in less than three days. The resulting catastrophic flood damaged more than 140,000 residences in over 10 parishes and caused an estimated $10 billion-plus of property damage. While the metro population center of Baton Rouge, La., suffered significant damage, many of the suburbs and rural communities suffered even more widespread and massive damage. This session will examine several suburban communities in the flood area and their plans for recovery since the 2016 floods.
