On-call Environmental Consultants

City of Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA

The Los Angeles Department of City Planning will be releasing two Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for the purpose of preparing a pre-qualified list of on-call environmental consultants to prepare environmental documents for the City.

Moving forward, the Department of City Planning will require that all private entitlement applicants use these pre-qualified consultants for the preparation of City environmental documents under CEQA, the California Environmental Quality Act.

This upcoming process is the sole method to become eligible for this work, and the Department of City Planning seeks a broad and wide range of interested parties to participate in the RFQ process. Two lists of pre-qualified environmental consultants will be created for the following:

1. To prepare CEQA documents for applicant-proposed development projects for submission to the City of Los Angeles Department of City Planning serving as the Lead Agency.

2. To prepare environmental documents for the City of Los Angeles, Department of City Planning to support Community Plan updates, code amendments, and other policies and programs.

The Department anticipates that the RFQ will be released in June 2017 via the City of Los Angeles Business Assistance Virtual Network (LABAVN) at http://www. labavn.org. If you are not already registered on LABAVN, you may register by going to: https://labavn.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.registration. Notification of the RFQ release will be sent out through LABAVN to all eligible registrants, based on the registered service codes and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) category number indicated in the registrant profile.

It is the policy of the City of Los Angeles to provide Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), Emerging Business Enterprises (EBEs), Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs), and all Other Business Enterprises (OBEs) equal opportunity to participate in the performance of City contracts.
