2018 Federal Planning Division Training Workshop

The Federal Planning Division (FPD) will hold its annual workshop in New Orleans from April 24–26, 2018, immediately following the National Planning Conference in New Orleans. Session topics cover sustainability, logistics, public involvement, space and facilities planning, adaptation of existing infrastructure to new uses, modernization of aging infrastructure, federal policy and appropriations, and environmental stewardship, all under the theme National Roots: Global Plans.

Individuals attending the National Planning Conference may add the Workshop and Awards Dinner to their conference registration.

Individuals attending only the Federal Planning Division Training Workshop should register here.

Lodging

We have a block of rooms at the Loews New Orleans Hotel at the per diem rate as well as rooms at the APA NPC conference rate. Mobile Workshops

FPD is sponsoring three mobile workshops at this year’s Training Workshop in New Orleans. These mobile workshops will occur on April 25 and 26 and offer walking tours of the Lower Garden District, the U.S. Custom House in the French Quarter, and the National World War II Museum. The mobile workshops are open to all attendees on a first-come, first-served basis at no additional charge beyond the workshop registration fee. Bring your walking shoes to join us in New Orleans!

As in years past, any federal agency that wishes to will be given free meeting space. Take advantage of this to coordinate with your team. FPD's Agency Meetings may be your only chance to get together all year.
