Overview

Laura Lyon and Ed Weilbacher with Heartlands Conservancy will present their efforts to elevate the status of the Cahokia Mounds to a national designation within the National Park Service.  Although often overlooked, Cahokia Mounds is a World Heritage Site and is considered one of the greatest achievements in the ancient history of our continent.  Planners will learn the history of the site, its preservation, and the process elevate its status to a national designation.
