Infrastructure has been a dominant theme on Capitol Hill this year. Despite all the debate, when judged from the perspective of the Trump administration’s infrastructure proposal, not much has happened. Nevertheless, recent funding bills have substantially expanded key infrastructure programs, and water and aviation bills have progressed.

This session will look at what has changed — e.g., the transition of U.S. DOT’s TIGER to BUILD — and what might lie ahead in terms of funding and policy. Also, as Washington struggles to find consensus, state and local governments have been steadily advancing new funding and finance strategies. Experts will examine activities nationwide.
