Overview

This session will provide an overview of conservation practices relevant to transportation planning and corridor management. Topics to be touched on include: habitat fragmentation, vegetation management for pollinator and migratory butterfly habitat, wildlife crossings, efforts to eradicate invasive plant species, tree mitigation, and others.

Topics to be touched on include: habitat fragmentation, vegetation management for pollinator and migratory butterfly habitat, wildlife crossings, efforts to eradicate invasive plant species, tree mitigation, and others. Case studies to be mentioned during the presentation include: Iowa Living Roadway Trust Fund; Kane County, IL Stears Road Bridge Corridor; and Cooperative agreement between MODOT, MO Department of Conversation and MO Prairie Foundation.
