Come join a panel of experts share their input on how they went through the planning process to gain community support and success for next steps towards urban mobility policy and implementation.  Two different agencies will discuss the challenges of the projects and how they overcame them to bring success to the award winning plans.

Come join a panel of experts share their input on how they went through the planning process to gain community support and success for next steps towards Urban mobility policy and implementation.  One Corridor Sara Copeland of North Kansas City will discuss the Armour Road complete streets corridor project that utilized innovative public engagement to garner support for implementation.  One District Joe Blankenship of KCMO will share How the Midtown complete community district project gathered informed consent for some transformative ideas to promote all ages and all abilities.  Both Sara and Joe will be joined by Jay Aber and Jennifer Pangborn to answer questions and share about effective goal setting, conflict resolution, innovative public engagement, tactical urbanism, all ages and abilities, multimodal connectivity and the importance of placemaking in our public spaces in the corridor or district context.
