Overview

The Olivette Park Master Plan is to guide in the delivery of excellent parks, trails, public facilities, activities, programs, and services that will contribute to community prosperity and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the City of Olivette. The Lawrence Group, Shockey, and Olivette City Staff facilitated a number of all-inclusive public outreach engagements in cooperation with the City of Olivette and The Olivette Parks and Rec Department to ensure a balanced, open, and collaborative approach to this master planning process. The implementation framework of the plan includes sustainable and innovative approaches to effectively manage parks while developing strategies that match resource availability.

Key objectives:

Learn how city staff and consultants can collaborate on engagement to create maximum impact for minimal cost.

Understand the importance of quantifying engagement results to identify and engage underrepresented groups.

Importance of connectivity and linkages to other parks, trails, and developments.

How to create the framework to start maintaining parks sustainably.

How to develop a workable master plan that is financially responsible.
