MORE SESSION DETAILS

There’s a real sense that many of Jack London Square's wineries were designed to embed themselves in the local community. The long-ranging planning efforts have redeveloped and revitalized this historical produce/waterfront area for its community and visitors.

Most of these wineries have carefully cultivated their relationships with their vineyard sources, but these vineyards might be spanning very different areas of California. Since the grapes come from a wide area, it doesn’t make sense to talk about ‘terroir’ – that magical interplay between the land and wine – for the Urban Wine Trail. Additionally, these wineries very much all had their own identities.
