Overview

Learn about the process of change and redevelopment in the North Area of Milwaukee's 30th Street Industrial Corridor. The area was once a major industrial hub of Milwaukee, with 10,000 manufacturing jobs located in walk-to-work neighborhoods. NWSCDC is working with stakeholders and community residents to accelerate the redevelopment of key parcels while leveraging existing assets to grow new jobs in the North Corridor Area. Catalytic partnerships with the City, MMSD, neighborhood groups and developers will help launch infrastructure improvements which will attract private capital and grow businesses and jobs. Furthermore, innovative stormwater management will accelerate reinvestment in the area, beautify vacant parcels, and provide educational opportunities for area students.
