Overview

Harbor District, Inc. and the City of Milwaukee completed a planning process for the neighborhood surrounding Milwaukee's industrial waterfront at the end of 2017.  With the Harbor District Water and Land Use Plan (WaLUP) adopted by the Common Council in early 2018, Harbor District, Inc. and its many partners are now focusing on implementing the many recommendations in the plan and working towards the big vision of redefining Milwaukee's working waterfront for the 21st century.  This talk will give a brief overview of the WaLUP and then focus on the projects underway or anticipated for the near future.  The discussion will include public infrastructure, real estate development, habitat projects, stormwater management, and more.   For background information on Harbor District, Inc. visit harbordistrict.org.
