Bapa has arranged for a tour of the new Sistrunk Market Food Hall. Food halls, curated collectives of food, beverage, and retail under one roof, are one of the latest adaptive re-use trends arriving in Florida. While this change of use can contribute to the vibrancy and economic resiliency of a neighborhood, it also creates unique zoning and parking concerns.
Learn from representatives of the Sistrunk Marketplace and Brewery and the City of Fort Lauderdale made the Sistrunk Market and Brewery happen and rtour the facility before it opens to the public.
At this event, Planners will receive a tour of a new food hall development in Fort Lauderdale. During the tour, Benjamin Restrepo, PE and Nicholas Kalargyros of City of Fort Lauderdale will discuss the approval process. The tour will be followed by a Q&A process. Planners will learn about parking reduction strategies for urban areas, adaptive reuse approaches within existing zoning codes, and real estate development.
