MORE SESSION DETAILS

The emphasis of bicycle facilities in street design has grown immensely and places such as Denmark and Amsterdam are leading the way in bicycle infrastructure design. What is less acknowledged are the philosophies that have guided them to prioritize modes of transportation other than cars, and the transportation network that makes commuter cycling not only feasible, but preferred. This poster depicts the design principles, philosophies, and regional focus that need adoption for successful commuter cycling in the United States.
