Norman Murdoch, FAICP
Norman Murdoch's distinguished 45-year career demonstrated both leadership and innovation in his work. He is best known for his work in St. Louis where he directed plans that integrated economic development and urban design into the plan for the Central Business District, and for his work in Hawaii where he integrated "sustainable" growth policies into the master plan for Makakilo. Leading the formulation of the County of Los Angeles's first comprehensive plan update, Murdoch has served as a forerunner in the field of comprehensive planning. Inducted in 2002.
