Research KnowledgeBase
Promoting brownfields redevelopment through plans and programs
Brownfields are previously developed sites that may have contamination associated with current or historical land uses — such as gas stations, dry cleaners, and factories. While these contaminants can threaten public health, the sites often are in prime locations and present an opportunity for successful reuse. This new Research KnowledgeBase collection offers resources providing background on and examples of plans and regulations that illustrate how cities and counties are taking steps to facilitate redevelopment. |
