The future of planning is agile, people-centric, and technologically advanced

How can you prepare for an uncertain future, bound to be unsettled by accelerating changes and disruptors?

Using APA's foresight practice and in partnership with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, we are peeking into the future of planning to understand the critical trends — both emerging issues and longstanding challenges — that will impact our profession.

This publication was developed in partnership with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.

Planning Viewpoint
Crafting more inclusive planning curricula

Daphne Lundi looks at how thinking beyond the traditional narrative creates a more complete and ethical planning education. "As we teach planning students the full history of urban planning, we must also widen the breadth of our own planning knowledge so that we may better grapple with the uncomfortable history of urban planning and race — and the ways it still impacts communities today."
