Under general direction, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Planning division within the Community Development Department. To plan, organize, supervise, review, and participate in the work of professional, technical, and clerical subordinates engaged in current or advanced planning, and performs highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Community Development Director.
Five years of responsible experience in the field of urban and environmental planning, including supervisory experience.
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in urban or regional planning, economic or community development, or related field considered useful in urban planning.
