Scenic View Protection

The village’s zoning code protects scenic resources through a scenic corridor overlay district. It contains provisions related to permitted uses, landscape standards, and approving alternative designs that preserve natural features and maintain land areas reserved for scenic view (§10-4-3).

Solar Energy

The zoning code allows for solar energy systems on any building in the village as an accessory use, with setback, height, and other regulations. Solar energy systems can be the primary use of a lot in light industrial districts, subject to height, setback, lot coverage, and other regulations (§10-13-4).
