This report is based on the Keep Farming program of Glynwood, an agricultural nonprofit and working farm located in the county, which engages a diverse set of stakeholders in gathering and analyzing data about the current state of agriculture to better understand conditions and challenges faced by farmers, and works to advance a regenerative agriculture that benefits the environment, economy, health, and the community. It offers recommendations and action items targeted at helping farmers to network, learn, and build capacity; increasing market opportunities for local food within the county; developing food production-friendly policies and regulations for communities; maintaining and expanding the county’s farmland base; and recognizing the importance of agriculture in the county.
